Chateau Malbat has been in the Rochet family since its purchase in 1865. The vineyards are farmed sustainably. Finding an entry to Bordeaux is never easy. Most of the inexpensive wines tend to come from areas that are not the most suitable for wine prduction. This is diffreent. THe vineyards here sit to the south-east of Bordeuax city just outside of some more famous appelations. Cherry, red cassis and plum with good acidity and some light tannin. Hard to argue with this wine at this rice.
